This course involves a careful examination of basic residential wiring. Emphases are on electrical safety, properties of electricity, wiring materials, conductors, device wiring and various installation techniques. It is an exploratory, first course in electrical wiring designed primarily for entrance into the electrical wiring industry and other areas of electrical employment and studies. It also meets the needs of many individuals with other interests, or a course that provides students with a general “feel” for the subject of electricity.
