The aim of this course is to equip students with the theory and practical skills necessary to meet local and international standards. Students will be able to apply knowledge to support everyday activities necessary for their academic requirements, as well as the workplace. They will become proficient in the Microsoft Office Applications for word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and presentations. In addition, students will be introduced to computer terminologies and activities associated with the Internet and the World Wide Web. They will also be exposed to the career and job opportunities in the field of computer science, information technology and communications and other related jobs within the business environment. The course content details computer hardware, peripherals devices, software familiarization, file management, emailing, virus protection and internet functions.
