Welcome to the fall 2022 semester.
My name is Janelle Johnson, your Instructor for Tech Prep. English section 11. We are scheduled to meet weekly on the below days:
Tuesday & Thursday: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
The motto for this semester is, “Believe in Yourself”. I am encouraging you to set high expectations for yourselves. My role in this motto is to provide the support that you need to propel you to the highest level of success. For this to happen, you will need to attend every class, complete all assignments, read your notes daily, stay current with deadlines, and remain dedicated to this semester’s goal.
NOTE: All communication for the term will be sent to your BTVI email and posted in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). We will review the VLE during the first week of class. To access the VLE learning platform, you will need to create an account by following the below steps. Please create your account before the first class by following the below instructions:
Steps for students to create a VLE account
Go to: vle.btvi.edu.bs
STEP 1: Click on "log in" ( at the top right-hand corner of the screen).
STEP 2: Scroll down to "Create New Account" and follow the instructions to create your account (Please use your BTVI new email address to create your VLE account).
STEP 3: Confirm your account by checking your email and clicking on the link sent to you from VLE (Moodle).
STEP 4: If there is no email from VLE (Moodle) in your "In Box" please check your "Spam Folder".
STEP 5: If there is no confirmation in your "In Box " or your "Spam Folder" please email the IT department at help@btvi.edu.bs
STEP 6: Inform your instructor once you have been confirmed by VLE (Moodle).
STEP 7: Your instructor will add you to the classroom.
