This course of study is geared at preparing and equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively produce Bills of Estimate for Clients prior to the commencement of Building works, as well as on an on-going basis as the Project is being undertaken.
Students will learn details regarding the various building materials which are utilized in the building trades, and just how much of each is needed to complete any given project. Peculiarities of the trade such as the reality of cost adjustments, and calculating so as to allow for damage during shipping, and other realities are discussed.
Come prepared to take a deep dive into the world of Trade Estimating, which is known at the professional level, as Quantity Surveying. See you in class.
